Heading North

When we arrived here in Titusville last November it seemed as though we had all the time in the world to do all the things we enjoy. That now seems to have been a most brief period of time. We will be starting our slow journey back home next week. I think we both can confirm that our time here has been loads of fun. We will be a bit sad saying goodbye to our friends and at the same time excited travel again exploring new sites and then arriving back in Maine to see our friends at home.

This last week will keep us busy getting ready for our eminent departure. Tomorrow it's off to Winter Park/ Orlando to get our trailer that has undergone several repairs. This process has been painfully slow. It started with a phone call for an appointment in mid December. It's finally getting done now.

Abe and his girlfriend Alexis will be visiting this weekend. That will leave us 3 days to pack up the truck and trailer then close up the house here.

Diana has been very busy creating several beautiful quilts, 2 of which we will sleep under on our way home, along with many other fabric creations. David has divided his time between bike riding, pickle ball, a little golf and working on perfecting his wood turning skills, along with starting to learn wood carving not to mention a little Photography. Truthfully I don't have enough time to write about all the things we have done here in Florida this winter, but I can say we have had a great time.

Our first stop on the trek northward will be Savannah to visit with  Mike and Carol David's brother and sister in law

. We will  take in a number of concerts at the Savannah Music Festival. With some luck we will have reasonable internet access along the way that will enable us to update the blog.
